Daniel Radcliffe: To start I want to know, how did you get into the audition process and how much I have to say thanks? Do you remember working with Chris?
JK Rowling: I was involved. Not to the extent of having to be sitting in the auditions, but they kept me well informed. As you know, we find Rupert and Emma and they were perfect. But you are not yet met. You tell us how you found it, and it was amazing, really.
Dan: Well, it was very strange at the time. Originally what had happened was that David Heyman, the producer, knew about my dad because my dad had been a literary agent, and my father had worked with the mother of David. So David asked my dad if I audicionaría. And the original agreement we had heard was that it would be to make six films and they were filming in the United States.
Jo: Is it going to do in America? Nobody ever told me that.
Dan: That's why they changed their minds, they probably would not be in agreement.

Dan: I know, and I sat there the whole time thinking, "Why this man ...
Jo: "... is watching me?" That's very creepy
Dan: It was very weird.
Jo: "I have to tell someone over the phone."
Dan: It was very weird. And remember that in the meantime my mom and my dad had a very intense about something. But, you know, a child who was being deliberately kept out of the circle. I remember we went up the stairs to leave the theater behind a pillar.I remember a ludicrous idea that David Heyman and Steve Kloves was pursuing.
Jo: "We will attack. And will your child actor. "
Dan: Then there was a debate about whether we'd go back in the second half, but I was really enjoying the work.
Jo: Really?
Dan: Yeah, and so we went back the next day my mom and my dad said, "Oh, well, maybe they are the gods trying to tell us something."
Jo: But it was a lot of strange coincidences.
Dan: Exactly.
Jo: And then they called me and said, "We believe what we found." And that's the first time you display in my living room.
Dan: Really?
Jo: Yes, they sent me a video of you. The funny thing is, I'm like you, I do not believe in fate and destiny.
Dan: That's interesting, because they are issues which appear much in the books.
Jo: Yes, absolutely. I think you do your own destiny. So you saw in that audition tape and I think I told you never really found it incredibly moving.
Dan: Thank you.
Jo: It was incredibly moving. At that time, I had a son. I called David and said, "He's great. He is fantastic. "And I told David it was like seeing my son on the screen. Because, after all, Harry feels like the ghostly child I had in my life.
